Reckless Conduct

514KcaYbKzL._UY250_He burned her once…
Sophie Gallo has survived a lot in her twenty-three years. Both parents gone, dreams abandoned, and a heart shattered. But she came out on the other side stronger than ever.
Then, one night with Luke in her bed… on her kitchen table… against the wall… made Sophie feel alive again. Right up until he ran before the bed stopped shaking. Seeing him every day at the Middleburg Police Station, thanks to her job as the office manager, is a special kind of torture. But she clings to her hate and anger, hiding her sadness and desire, even from herself.
She weakened him once…
Sergeant Luke McCracken lives to serve and protect. Not only the citizens of Middleburg, but also the woman who captivates him mind, body, and soul. Even if that means shielding her from the biggest threat to her happiness – himself.
Luke gave in to his lust once. But he won’t allow himself to be reckless with Sophie’s heart again. Though he can’t help but provoke her just to see her passion, even if it comes in the form of hatred. He’d live on nothing but the memories of their night together if it meant she’d have the life she deserved.
His town is being plagued by a rash of break-ins and an increase in drug overdoses, and his desk overflows with cases waiting to be solved. But never, in all the time he told himself to protect Sophie from the risks he presented, did he think she would find herself in danger from outside forces.
One night with her stole his heart, one dispatcher call stopped it.

A little about Brandy first:

Brandy Ayers is a writer of erotic romance. Or romantic erotica, depending on how you look at it. She has been telling stories in one form or another since she was a child and decided her English / Irish heritage was boring. Instead, for a 4th grade class genealogy assignment, she weaved a tale of mystery and intrigue about her great, great grandpa chief of the Navajo tribe. No one bought it. Brandy lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, son, daughter, neurotic boxer, and Satan worshiping cat.
You can always catch up with Brandy on Facebook, she’s been spotted on Twitter, her Pinterest is cool, and her blog has all the hottest information about all of her books.

Sherry Terry’s Review: 5-Stars

This has been my favorite book that we’ve reviewed so far, well okay. Although it’s a fast read, it covers all the bases of romantic erotica. Reckless Conduct has all the elements of a good old-fashioned romance with hot, steamy sex. The main characters, Luke and Sophie are very well-rounded and every moment they are together is filled with action and sexual tension.
I fell effortlessly into the story, and it was a great escape from my everyday life. Brandy’s writing is what melts my butter. Cops and robbers, action, desire, and real love – Reckless Conduct has it all. Brandy Ayers knows what she is doing, and will be my go-to author from now on.
I highly recommend Reckless Conduct to anyone who loves to fall in love.

RA Winter’s Review: 4.2-Stars

This was a super quick read, very well written police erotica about a cop and the ex–police chief’s daughter who works in the office. It starts off hot, really into the erotica then moves to two years later. The cop had gone home after a great night of sex then rethought the night. Their relationship is a squabble between the two and doesn’t pick back up until her house is burglarized.
This is for anyone who likes it hot and fast It moves along at a nice clip. The writing is clean, clear and good. I give it a 4.2, it was very enjoyable and something to keep you reading in a short time period. It’s written in 3rd person POV, alternating between the two main characters.
For those of you who’d like to dip your fingers into the police stories, this is a good read. It’s not heavy on the police procedure lingo and is easy to understand, even the small subplot about drug pushers.

  1. I like this book more than I thought I would. It’s not usually my genre but I must have been in a feisty mood. The writing was done very well and I would easily look for more work by Brandy.
