I was born in the Philippines and now reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. I self-published my first book, Annagram, in 2015 about three countries fighting for an island.

We would love to introduce, Roxanne San Jose.

Interview conducted by Sherry Terry.

TNR: What drew you to write Science Romance genre?

RSJ: My creativity and inspiration from reading books.

TNR: Reading is a great way to learn. What was the hardest thing about writing your latest Science Romance book?

RSJ: Editing

TNR: Right! I hate the editing phase too. What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

RSJ: Be creative and work hard because it makes the story stand out and without hard work, nothing can be done.

TNR: You’re right about that. You only get better with practice and hard work. Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand?

RSJ: Longhand and computer

TNR: Where do you see publishing going in the future?

RSJ: More towards self-publishing because I saw many self-published authors online.

TNR: Yeah, it looks like self-publishing is the wave of the future. And the future is now. For your own reading, do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hardback books?

RSJ: Both as long as I can read them.

TNR: What marketing strategies do you find most helpful?

RSJ: Blogs.

TNR: I am a blogger too with lots of great stuff for new writers. Would you or do you use a PR agency?

RSJ: As of now, I do not use a PR agency but I would love to try one to increase sales.

TNR: What do you want your tombstone to say?

RSJ: Loving granddaughter, daughter, sister and friend.

TNR: Awww. How sweet! That’s the best one yet. What is your favorite movie and why?

RSJ: Titanic because I love the story.

My favorite movie too! Thanks so much for dropping by and giving us a peek into your life and writing. I had a blast!
